TradeRES

The objective of this project is to develop and test an innovative electricity market design that can meet society’s needs in a near 100% renewable power system. At bitUnitor, we're contributing to the TradeRES project, which aims to develop and test new electricity market designs suitable for a near-100% renewable power system. Our role involves sharing our knowledge on blockchain-based solutions for trading in local energy systems. We're also leading Work Package 6, focusing on engaging stakeholders with the project's open-access tools. Additionally, we coordinate Task 5.2, where we assess the performance of current and new market designs and trading mechanisms for local energy communities in Case Study A. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement 864276.
